IAEP Local 732 Westerly, RI Ambulance Corps entered negotiations for their latest contract this week.

IAEP National Negotiator Scott Schaub, IAEP National Director Phil Petit, and Local 732 bargaining team members sat down at Westerly Ambulance Corps HQ with their management team to begin to forge a path towards a new collective bargaining agreement.

This will be Local 732’s second contract with the IAEP, and it represents the first agreement with the Lieutenants and Dispatchers at the bargaining table.

We wish the entire local the best in their work towards a new contract!

Union Local Tax Issues

Federal law now requires that every local union file an annual information return—Form 990, 990-EZ, or 990-N—with the IRS.

If your local fails to file under this new requirement, your local will lose its tax-exempt status.
