Local 684 Founding Member Honored for Decades of Service

Congratulations are in order for Local 684 Stamford EMS Paramedic Jeffrey Sachtjen, who retired this month after 35 years of service to the agency! 

Sachtjen was a founding member of Local 684 in addition to serving as president of the local. For over three decades, he dedicated his life to caring for his patients and making sure his colleagues had the correct protection, advocacy and representation while doing so. 

Local 684 celebrated Jeffrey’s storied career with a retirement party where State Representative Tina Courpas presented a proclamation from Gov. Ned Lamont declaring August 16^th as "Jeffrey Sachtjen Day" in recognition of his service to the residents of Stamford, CT.

We wish Jeffrey all the best in his retirement and thank him wholeheartedly for his countless hours of work making Local 684 truly great!
