IAEP Local 20 Empress Ambulance Services swore in a new executive board last week, ushering in a new era of leadership for the local.

Newly-elected Local 20 President Jennifer McSorley, Vice President West Tyler Vanburen, Secretary Rose Rivera and Treasurer Shonna Falcone were sworn in to their new roles by IAEP National Representative Nate Smith following the successful tabulation of votes.

Congratulations to these new labor leaders and wishing all of the success to the e-board and local!

Union Local Tax Issues

Federal law now requires that every local union file an annual information return—Form 990, 990-EZ, or 990-N—with the IRS.

If your local fails to file under this new requirement, your local will lose its tax-exempt status.
