The IAEP stands in solidarity with the nearly 15,000 nurses on strike in New York City who are fighting to secure safer conditions for nurses and patients alike. 

The IAEP commends the passage of Senate Bill 725, the Enhancing First Response Act, which correctly categorizes 911 communications dispatchers as a “protective service occupation” in the federal Standard Occupational Classification System and ensures enhancements to the nation’s 911 system more broadly.
