The IAEP Remembers Lily Evans

The IAEP is mourning IAEP Local 999 AMR New Haven member and Paramedic Lily Evans, who passed away this week.

Evans was a member of the AMR New Haven family since 2023, working her way through school to become a paramedic. She is remembered for her wit, drive, and passion for caring for others.

Our thoughts remain with those who knew and loved Evans during this incredibly difficult time.

AMR will have resources available to anyone who would like to use them and will offer in-person sessions at the station throughout the week. We will also have PEER teams available through the other divisions and the Peer Support Network.

As more information becomes available for the arrangements, we will share that with everyone.

Rest in Peace, Lily.

Union Local Tax Issues

Federal law now requires that every local union file an annual information return—Form 990, 990-EZ, or 990-N—with the IRS.

If your local fails to file under this new requirement, your local will lose its tax-exempt status.
