Members of Local 917 Ratify New Contract

The members of Local R5-917, EMS professionals with Polk County EMS of Florida, recently ratified a new contract agreement.
The
new agreement, which was ratified unanimously, includes improved
contract language, improved annual leave approval requirements and the
implementation of an online uniform program. While the negotiations
were often contentions, the Local 917 bargaining team worked diligently
to craft an agreement that meets their members’ needs.
“The
unanimous ratification of our new contract speaks volumes for the hard
work of the bargaining committee at the table,” said National
Representative / Local 917 Officer Ken Skaggs. “Despite the lengthy
negotiating process, we are proud to have negotiated a contract all of
our members can support and we look forward to working together
throughout the future.”
