Members of Local 95, EMS professionals with UMass Memorial Worcester EMS of Worcester, Massachusetts, recently ratified a new contract agreement.
Members of the negotiating committee worked diligently to negotiate an agreement that not only included fair wage increases, but also improvements and protections to various benefits. Included in the agreement are protections to out-of-pocket health insurance costs and expansions to the death benefit.
"Thanks to the IAEP we have a fair and equitable contract that protects many important benefits," said Local 95 President Chris Cary. "Those protections extend to health insurance in an age when those very benefits are often under attack."
