EMS Professionals with Belchertown EMS Vote to Join IAEP

April 23, 2009

The EMS professionals of Belchertown EMS, located in Massachusetts, recently voted in favor of becoming the IAEP's newest local.

These new members overwhelmingly voted to gain a stronger voice in their workplace, citing concerns with wages, benefits and current working conditions. The local has already elected their first ever executive board officers and has begun preparing for the negotiation process.

"Everyone is excited that the vote passed by an overwhelming majority of the membership," said Jack Kennedy, an EMS professional with Belchertown EMS. "We are all looking forward to starting contract negotiations."

Congratulations to these new members on becoming the latest edition to the growing IAEP family!
