Connecticut Locals Mourn Sudden Death of Member

April 27, 2009

The members of IAEP Local 547 in Stafford, Connecticut and Local 717 in Enfield, Connecticut are mourning the sudden death of one of their own, twenty-eight year old Jeremy Russell.

After graduating Ellington High School in 1999, Jeremy completed a Paramedic Studies Program at Capitol Community College. A dedicated EMS professional, Russell spent his career in Connecticut selflessly helping others in need. After leaving Enfield EMS, where he served as president of Local 717, Russell began working at Stafford EMS becoming a charter member of Local 547.

"Jeremy was highly respected by everyone he worked with," said Local 547 President Glenn Dube. "He always put everyone else ahead of himself."

Jeremy is survived by his mother, step-father, two brothers, grandparents, a niece and a number of aunts and uncles.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jeremy's memory may be made to Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America, Connecticut Chapter, P. O. Box 275, Branford, CT 06405.
