EMS professionals with AMR of Las Vegas continue to negotiate in good faith despite management's attempts to stall the bargaining process.
Since returning to the table, management has abruptly walked out of negotiations, refused to respond to union proposals and has continuously refused the use of a mediator appointed by Federal Mediation and Conciliation Services. Management had agreed to return to the bargaining table in good faith after SEIU Local 1107 rescinded their strike notice set to take affect in November 2008.
"The men and women on the bargaining team are working diligently to make progress at the table," said National Representative Christian Cloen. "Unfortunately, management does not seem interested in working with us and has refused to work with our Federally - appointed mediator."
In response to management's actions, these EMS professionals will hold an informational picket outside of AMR's Las Vegas headquarters on Friday, February 13.
"We believe that our proposals have been fair to all the parties involved and that management is simply stalling," said Cloen. "We will continue to attempt to negotiate with management in the hopes that no further action will be necessary."
The EMS professionals of AMR Las Vegas were previously prepared to strike over management's continued refusal to bargain with SEIU due to their issue over the servicing agreement between SEIU Local 1107 and the IAEP / SEIU Local 5000.
