Local R12-382 Overwhelmingly Ratifies First Contract Agreement

The members of IAEP Local R12-382, the EMS professionals of Skagit County EMS in Washington, recently unanimously voted to ratify their first ever contract agreement.
“Everyone worked together to create a contract that addresses the real needs of the membership,” said IAEP National Representative Kenneth ‘Casey’ Balch. “The strides made in this agreement will serve as strong foundations for negotiations in the future.”
The agreement includes significant wage increases across its life, as well as improvements to their disciplinary system such as the addition of ‘just cause’ language. This agreement also includes bonus pay for members who continue their education.
Balch would like to thank everyone on the Local R12-382 executive board and negotiating team for their hard work throughout both the negotiation and ratification processes.
