IAEP Honors Members Through Donation, Issues National EMS Week Challenge

May 14, 2008

The IAEP recently donated $1,000 to the National EMS Memorial Service Fund on behalf of all of our members and in honor of National EMS Week.

National EMS Week begins on May 18, and IAEP National President David J. Holway and National Director Matthew Levy are issuing a week-long fundraising challenge to IAEP locals. The IAEP pledges to match any donation made to a charitable foundation by any of our locals during National EMS Week.

“We are proud to salute the EMS professionals who are saving lives every day across our country,” said National President Holway. “Donating to the EMS Memorial Service Fund allows us to honor our members and inspire them to join us in helping to raise money for worthwhile causes around the country.”

Many events such as the National EMS Memorial Bike Ride will take place across the country in honor of National EMS Week. Please click here for more information about EMS Week events in your area or here to learn more about the National EMS Memorial Bike Ride.

“Every year National EMS Week allows us to recognize the passion and dedication our members have for their profession,” said National Director Levy. “Our members continue to push the IAEP to improve the EMS field as a whole and their lives as medical professionals.”

The IAEP will continue to fight for our members’ rights and will always honor the difficult sacrifices they make every day.
